ABOUT US

Jody Tansley

I humbly started working for production in 1993.  My first onset assignment was working for the late David Carradine on Kung Fu The Legend Continues.  Hard work, good customer service and an outstanding working relationships with stunt coordinators & performers, allowed me to hone my skills.  Taking courses in high angle rescue, fall arrest & fire arms.  I continue to strive to provide the best services and knowledge to the industry.  My personal relationship with Toronto Emergency Medical Services far surpasses others.  This allows me to book ambulance coverage for production as a courtesy, seamlessly.

In 2003 I returned to the Region of Peel.  This adventure allows me to keep up my skills, my contacts throughout Ontario as well as keeps me on the pulse of upcoming medical techniques so that we can provide you, your production, the very best.

During my time with the Region of Peel, I have received a Peel Police award/accommodation for bravery - rescued a trapped driver from a burning car prior to fire fighter arrival.   This act of bravery was also recognized by the Region of Peel as well as Paramedic Services throughout Ontario when I was awarded the McNally Award - acts of conspicuous bravery of a paramedic in the line of duty.

The highlight of my career was the decision to unite with Sheri Sutherland and Medics In Motion.  This unity took two accomplished individuals with the desire to better the industry standards, expectations & onset care in production and made us a solid, respectable & valued choice for medics in the industry.

As always, we work hard every day to keep your show - from producers, cast & crew, safe and sound.  Should an injury occur, we offer you skilled service and a compassionate professional to get you back on your way as soon as possible.

We look forward for the opportunity to join you on your next production, please do not hesitate to contact us.  Big or small, we will work with you to make your set safe and on budget.

Sheri Sutherland

Sheri started her career in Nursing at Conestoga College but found her calling with Paramedicine and completed the Paramedic Program at Centennial College in 1994. While working for Peel Region, she furthered her career by completing the Advanced Care Paramedic Program with honors from Humber College in 2006. Opening her own company before joining Jody Tansley in 2014, she's been a set medic for over 20 years.

Sheri
"Paramedic awarded for selfless Act"

In 2008, Sheri was praised for her Bravery for her quick thinking and courage in the face of a situation where she disregarded her own safety to save the life of a driver trapped in a burning car. She received the N.H. McNally award for her actions.

AMEMSO’s N.H. McNally Award of Bravery recognizes acts of conspicuous bravery by pre-hospital professionals in the performance of their duties. The Award was established in 1976 to honour Dr. Norman McNally, the father of Ontario's ambulance system. The award in his name has a rich history of acknowledging individuals who risked their lives to rescue or protect others from harm. It is not an annual award, and only presented when deserved.

Not only that, but in 2009 Sheri received a commendation from Peel Regional Police for her actions when she responded to a lightning strike which left two children in critical condition. She is the reason why those children are still alive today.
